A: For the purpose of clarity we define a single adult as one who is legally single (never married, widowed, or legally divorced).
Not only are there statistically fewer men, but the dynamic of human engagement, and style of personal connection, has changed dramatically since we were dating in our 20’s.
Also, a lifetime of love and loss has made many women distrustful and unwilling to get back into the dating game.
Social media has opened wonderful doors of connection, so, don’t be afraid to look up a single high school friend and even consider attending your next reunion or class event.
Here are a few ideas to help you get the hang of dating after 60.

He says that older women have the power to make a connection that turns into a dating opportunity.
If two single adults in our group pursue a Christ-centered dating relationship, then we pray that our ministry will help them individually to seek Christ first, and in doing so, to seek His model for a Godly dating relationship. Because we define "single" adult as never-married, widowed, or legally divorced, single adults who are dating someone might choose to be part of our Single adult ministry. We all need healthy Christians relationships outside of a dating relationship, and the church is the best place to find those connections.
Within the singles adult community of FBC, we hope everyone finds friendships that can help keep us accountable in our walk with Christ, can provide a sense of community and family for many singles who don't have family close by, and can be a place where social interaction in a wholesome Christian environment can take place. Our events are open to all Hickory-area singles, regardless of whether you have a church home or not.
